The Hotel is actually not one, but two Victorian
mansions, built a century ago by a local industrialist and now interlinked by a central
area. Since it was acquired by the MacIntyre family in 1980, the property has been
meticulously restored to its former elegance, showcasing unique period features while
upgrading and extending the facilities for visitors.

Indeed, Neil and Jean, the brother-sister team who are the present owners and
managers, have personally overseen the modifications themselves. Once again, this
